You've heard it right, two of the most anticipated WWII mods have teamed together today. The folks behind the BattleGroup 2 and Frontlines mods have united to create one top notch mod. Here's what they had to say:

It is with great pleasure that we can announce the first News of Battlegroup: Frontlines (BGF). Yes, it is true, two of the most anticipated BF2 Mods have joined forces. Take a look at today´s newspaper!

The developers of the two leading ww2 mods, Battlegroup and Frontlines, are proud to announce that they are to join together as Battlegroup:Frontlines to create the strongest BF mod ever known. Development of eastern and western fronts will go ahead in parallel, sharing vehicles, player models and statics to produce a bigger and more complete mod than was possible before. The aim of Battlegroup:Frontlines (BGF) is nothing less than to produce the leading ww2 mod on the BF2 engine, offering the best gameplay, the best models and skins, most challenging maps, most realistic sounds and atmospheric music. And of course with an open ear for the concerns amd wishes of the BF2 community.

This is the only way for them to stand up or at even get close to FH2. Good that it got posted on 2 April, otherwise I wouldn't believe it.

I was just thinking about this.....That WW2 mods should start merging. Some of these WW2 mods have some AMAZING work, but it just won't get recognized because of the overwhelming popularity of FH2.

Good decision to merge.

I thought last April Fools FH did something about there mod for f1942 was going to be on the XBOX? Or was that two years ago?

This is clearly an "anti-FH" mod attempt...

"strongest"..."leading"...those words said it all.

And FL or BG are not the leading WW2 mods as stated...a bit more modesty wouldn't hurt. FH is still the leading mod, for both BF2 and BF42 game engines.

come on fellas - enough with the FH talk.... this is a BG FL mod update after all is it not? personally i dont care about which one is better - i just care about which one is coming out first

good to see another merger - besides, what greater resource is there than talent?

Yes i agree - BG and FL are not in the position to own a leading Mod.
Let´s say those words came with the newspaper and some of the words are kind of april fool´s joke - that doens´t mean that the news in generell is an april fool´s joke.

Good luck FL and BG2! Glad to see that there will still be a first release with the eastern front.

And about Forgotten Galactic Hope Conquest, why wasn't it ever released? A missed opportunity that one.
