This mod look awsome. Since this is being made by Dice or something is it going to cost mony? How much?

Its not a mod. Think of it as Battlefield 3. Totally new game, same engine. So it will cost as much as BF2 did.

screenshots from dice/ea are alittle scary.
1.) the first screenshots from bf2, looked unreal. While currently bf2 is good....its far from how those first screenies looked.
2.)content. First screenies from bf2, showed guys roping down from a blackhawk. Guys using lasers to paint targets for tanks/aircraft. Oh and blackhawks with a missle payload and entirely different maps, car horns/alarms going off, glass shattering everywheres. A bit of a different picture then todays bf2, for sure.
Im sure many of you can think of more,
and im sure you catch my drift.

civilian vehicles around city maps, and the buildings had all kind of antennas on the roofs that could help snipers to hide (everyone suddenly bought satelite dishes) and the maps from the screenshots dont exist in BF2 including one skin of the Cobra and the MEC skins.


with this new BF i think they are being honest and showing screenies of the actual game

Why make a futuristic game with an old hat graphics engine? The 2142 screenshots I've seen so far leave me feeling flatly uninterested.

Quake Wars:ET here I come.

2142 appears to be nothing more than a reskinned bf2.

I can see it now, the futuristic aircraft will fly with bf2 helo physics. Lol. Instead of them being alien fast and responsive EA will nerf them untill every noobtastic infantryman feels comfortable and safe when they are overhead.

oh im sure that EA will hire Stephen Speilberg to direct the offical trailer in a few months and the video will be incredable and everyone will swoon..........and then they will cry out " I cant wait for this....." bla bla bla.
A good video can sell any game.

What I'm excited about is that Merciless Creations is doing stuff for BF2!!!!

My thoughts exactly. I would never buy a new game from EA on this same engine with the state vanilla BF2 is in...

Im just waiting for the quality mods to start dropping and the ETQW demo to see if it knocks my socks off

looks pretty nice, just add some search lights to the mechs and night maps

They have improved the engine: new effets and stuff.....

I think that even if those two games look similar, they will be different. What I mean is QW:ET will be more Quake style (very fast action), on the other side BF2142 will be more like BF2, walk , hide, shoot, strategy, etc.

Similar concept but very different GAME PLAY.

All this looks like so far is a mod with the big title EA CAMES plastered on the front. I hope they come out with something that isnt in bf2 vanilla :S
