well, technically, one has to be profiting from anothers idea for it to become a copyright infringement... quite frankly i am surprised these big corps are able to get away with it... lucasarts with every star wars mod for example...

if they really wanted to minimize their chances of trouble they should just change the word "stargate" in the title them they should really have no troubles whatso ever... (look at what galactic battelefield did to get around lucasarts - they just dropped out star wars and were fine to continue AFAIK)....
