There is a new update posted today over in the Australian Forces forums. They are showing off a new map that will be featured in their upcoming release. Take a look:
Based on a real-world ADF operation in Iraq, the “Kubaysah Cement Factory” is all about infantry-focused combat; armour-whores need not apply. Using actual geographical information from the Kubaysah region, ADF and MEC troops will engage in a bloody struggle as they attempt to hold this remote factory. Being caught outside the perimeter could result in certain death from a sniper’s bullet; being caught inside the perimeter could result in certain death from intense firefights among the factory’s numerous structures. Just don’t go crying to your Commander for help – there aren’t going to be any UAV flights or artillery strikes to save you!

A great looking map thus far in its progress! The Aug is manufactured by Steyr in Austria - not AustraliaOriginally posted by -ChiCkenThat Bullpup (Aug in css) is a great idea considering its Australian.

Well you're right and you're wrong...Originally posted by TitanFireThe Aug is manufactured by Steyr in Austria - not Australia
The Steyr AUG is indeed manufactured by Steyr Mannlicher AG in Austria, thought the Steyr F88/Austeyr (which is what the Aussies use, and is the one in the mod) is actually manufactured by Lithgow Small Arms factory(a subsidiary of ADI Limited) in New South Wales, Australia.
Though the Steyr AUG licence is owned by Steyr Mannlicher AG, which is Austrian. :)
As you might have gathered from my sig, I'm on the dev team for the mod.
We appreciate the positive feedback, thanks guys!!!

Re: Australian Forces Mod Update
You gotta love statements like "armour whores need not apply"...
This franchise is based on vehicles, not infantry. Oh well, to each their own.
As far as the mod goes however, it looks pretty nice. I wasn't overly impressed with the render models from the update last week, but it might just have been a game screenshot at low graphic settings.
PEACE

Always nice to meet guys who know what they're on about
From the post above, I had assumed that you were using the Aug itself, but you explained it nicely. Personally, I love the rifle - it's what the Irish Defence Forces use, after all
Always had a soft spot for Aussies myself, brother-in-law is from down Albanny actually.
