Re: First Strike Mod Update
I love new Huds, Can't wait to see the ingame screenshot of that hud. Does look very Vibrant and that works extremely well in the star wars area. Man Wonder what Lucas would do if he download this? Call it amazing or go back and resotre it? :p
Good to see exciting things in the mod communitys these days.

Re: First Strike Mod Update
WOOT for the AT AT walker... looking really nice guys... suggestion?
i do a bit of texture art and in my experience metal surfaces are very very rarely a straight grey colour (the AT walkers surface almost looks greyscale - i noticed this with the last walker skin)... to give it a bit of character do a water stain layer of dark brown/reddish brown smudged downward to represent seeping stains and set it to overlay... do another of random splotches, give it 20% noise (yes tht much) and set it to hard mix on a low opacity (this makes great "grit" and "scuff" patches)...
this will give you differentiations in the base skin giving it a bit of life and history - as well as making it more "believable"... in hindsight i remember the AT AT from hoth being a very low saturation (greyish) sand colour.. with some colour variations between the different panels... but thats only my recollection...
just another skinner's thoughts... i admire your work guys - you certainly chose the most challenging setting to mod.. WELL DONE and good luck!!Comment
