A Tragic Loss for the Mod Community

From Insurgency, a mod for Half Life 2:
Thomas Reyneri, former animator for Insurgency, has tragically lost his life last week in a snowboarding accident in Squaw Valley, California. He was only 16 years old.

Tom was also on the Desert Combat team (a mod for Battlefield1942, that had alot of influence on what Battlefield 2 is today), a game that alot of us have spent nights playing and enjoying. It's very sad to see such a talented young man go.

Ugh, Ive seen to much of this. I used to be a national competative snowboarder and I was always one of the few people who always wore a helmet. Whenever you ride in the backcountry where a peep (avalanche beeper). My melon has been saved more than a few times from an icy pipe wall thanks to my helmet. Ride smart, thats all there is to it :hmm:

What a tragic loss of talent. From reading the guest book, it is clear that Thomas was loved and he was a caring person. May God speed be with him and his family.

Let us all remember to hug our loved ones today and remind them how we feel about them.
