There is a new update posted today over at the Frontlines mod website. They have some new media to showcase. Here's what they had to say:
May we intodruce you Werner. Werner is from the German Reich and his hobbies are fishing and taking care of his cows on his own farm. Unluckily the administration moved Werner to the Wehrmacht during the harvest time in 1943. After a basic schooling they moved him to the infantry in the occupied France. He hoped to not get involved in any conflicts, but the D-Day thwarted him and he had to defend his country against the allied Forces in their biggest marine-invasion of all time.
Now back to reality. The Landser has been modeled by MacX and he affectionately made it in a month-taking procedure. The model only counts 4.800 polygons, this is not more than the polycount of a tank or another vehicle. In a comparison our model even has almost half as much polygons as the BF2-soldier has. The BF2-soldier has a polycount of about 7.000, the rest was made by a well-detailled Normal Map. We hope you recognize that we always try to save as many polygons as possible to develop a playable and fluent, but sweet looking Mod for everybody in the Community. However here are the images of our Landser, who will compete with the british army in our first release.

Very detailed and impressive player model.
