It looks top notch. But your site is somewhat deprived of information on the mod. Could you point me to anywhere that offers a bit more information on what USI plans to bring to the table?

Well there is the news Update which had a complete list of what to expect other then maps and adjustments.

Also a new site is being built but all the teams effort is in the mod right now. There is a lot more that is added, though you get to discover a lot of these things by yourself. New skins, New Textures, Map objects, features. Just think ... not to long till you can play USI...

Only if March 12th can be met... the whole team is working their arses off. There are a few things that can change that date too, such as the release of the 1.21 hotfix. I am sure that if we keep the pace we have now though, we can make that date.

The vehicles and weapons themselves look nice, but I'm interested in what's behind them. Does the mod aim for realism? What are the major gameplay features? Things of this nature. So far all I know is that the mod is based on the Persian Gulf War. I'm sure all the information I'm looking for is common knowlegde to someone who has followed the mod and been active in it's community, but I'm not one of them.

I'm not looking for indept information, not things that are in most cases kept under wraps until release. Just the basics.

My god, this mod is moving quickly, and still contains high quality models and skins(Alot even look better than Dice models!). I have a question however, do you have custom animations, like the ones that BAttlefield Apocalypse showcased for your weapons? Alas, keep up the good work, you have my support .

                              Re: US Intervention Mod Update

i've followed the mod and i think that it's becomming a good balance between realism and gameplay.

They seem to understand that vehicle balance rests with the survivability coefficient. If an asset on your team (like the SU) is spending 90% of the time defending itself, then it's only good to the team 10% of the time. A lot of ex-DC testers are involved and they bring to the table the experience necessary to know when things are off-balanced.

Now theres a lot to that. The SU would worry less about its survivability if it's team had the tools and the incentive to protect that SU. Hopefully, like in DC, the fighters will have a lot of folks on the ground trying to keep them alive. This works two fold. An SU wants to protect the guy who's protecting him. Be that a tank or a gaskin - your survivability coefficient rises if they die, and you are less of an asset to the team. It's not forcing you to use better teamwork, but (I think unlike BF2) it makes it a lot FUNNER to help your team - because of the immersion that comes with the assorted "checks and balances" features.

This is just one example of what the play testers understand. It should come out pretty fun, although (lets face it) since its a .1, it may be a bit rough around the edges as far as little quirks and glitches.
