also make the granades from the noob tube bounce like the support gas gun on SF.

yeah sound bug needs to be fixed and support guns made not as accurate....i think somewhere between patches 1.12 and 1.2 for the PKM and others would be best.
You obviously don't know **** about grenades. Grenade launcher grenades are impact grenades. Heres a lesson noob:

Does any know of the "performance issue with certain ATI cards"? I am not sure I know what they mean.. Thanks in advance for any info...

Gotta X800XL here, I'm hoping for some free FPS.

some people's cards slowed to a halt after the patch.

does anyone know where EA/DICE hear about bugs, because there's so many more than those listed. who are they asking about these things? is anyone in the know?

I'm speechless. Half of that mentioned isn't the problem. I've been sticking up for EA/Dice since day one but man... are they afraid that mentioning all the bugs officially that they're doing damage to themselves? I guess that's possible and possibly even good buisness but man...

And you are an idiot noob that hasn't figured out that bf2 is a game and not real life....DICE say they go for balance and playablity first before realism.

also if you wasn't so dumb you would know that patch 1.2 made the grenade launcher grenades bounce (poorly) off walls etc

Looks like you need to go back to special school.

BF2 weapons and vehicles take on characteristics of their "real-life" counterparts. The super cobra is the most maneuverable because it is light, compared to the other choppers, just like in real life. The M1A2 120mm cannon inflicts more damage than an APC's weapon because it is a tank, and tanks inflict more damage in real life. The F-35B uses VTOL because thats what it does in real life. Do you see a theme here? Finally, the grenade launchers (M203, GP-30, et al) use impact grenades because that is what is used in real life. Everything has a direct correlation with real life.

Granted, some aspects, such as the C4 chunking, are altered to "create balance" but in the end, this game uses real life aspects to make the game fun. To believe otherwise, is just retarded. Even though they go for "balance" and "playability" first (I doubt DICE/EA said that in honesty) the grenade launcher does what it does for a reason. If it just bounced, there would be no point to having a launcher. It would just be an ordinary grenade. This defeats the purpose of an assault kit. Like the EA website says, the assault kit is the charge and attack kit. Taking away the impact grenade laucher pretty much makes the assault kit a medic without shock paddles and heal kits.

By the way, I am already in special school. I graduate in one semester.

Probably not. They don't seem to know what the hell they are doing sometimes.

In the list they posted, shoudln't the #1 fix they should talk about is the AA being so screwy? Getting trapped by oil towers. I've seen them fly facing once way but moving in a different direction (facing | but kind of sliding sideways into it's target.

Yes i know and i never said that BF2 weapons and vehicles don't take on characteristics of their "real-life" counterparts....i said that they do try to make it realistic but they put balance and playablity before it. For example have you seen the clip of real life guns on the black hawk...they rip through nearly everything....now in bf2 1.2 they are nothing like it. This is for balance and playability otherwise the blackhawk whoring of pre 1.2 would have been even worse.

The grenade launchers in real life may use impact grenades but in patch 1.2 they don't.....they now (poorly) bounce.....if you want me to post a clip of it bouncing i can do....but posting your "how things work" links wont change a bf2 gameplay fact.

Actually EA can learn a thing or two from http://science.howstuffworks.com/grenade3.htm
Maybe they can put a decent fix on 203's if they included some physics on the 203 rounds so it arms and denonates properly instead of putting the stupid bounce. Aww hell! They could just have easily pulled the Field Training Manual for the 203's online and get some basic ideas of the 203 to get it to work right in the game. They need to have a proper fix for the 203's. I think making it bounce is just a poor/cheap fix for the 203's. I am not talking about making the 203's into it's real-life counterpart, but at least make it work they way it should, so people can't launch it at their feet and kill themselves or bounce around walls and crap....

Yes they have definitely said that they go for balance either on a forum or interview sometime ago. Well they have already made it so it bounces if fired under a certain distance. They say they didn't intend for it to be used at close quarters against infantry.

I swear I've read this same statement before in a previous thread...am I right?

                              Things that need fixing:

                              - red/blue name tag bug (I can also tell who is enemy/friendly, but in the heat of the battle, 1600x1200 doesn't help me notice things like if they are middle-eastern or asian :))

                              - sound glitch

                              - AA doing those weird circle things. Just make the things hit when locked, then again, I'm no programmer so I couldn't give you the slightest help on how to do that! :)

As for the wait time, I say June would be a good estimate for a release! :) ...if only to hear everyone complaining about it. I somewhat agree with a previous statement that we may actually see this update quickly simply because it is required to properly run the EuroForce pack.

In a way this reminds me of the scenario we had with the previous patch when SF was released...however we were left with a laggy game (in helicopters) and some other weird bugs.

Oh well, only time will tell, and I hope they take all the time they need.

                              PEACE
