There is a new update posted today over at the Battlefield Apocalypse mod website. They have some new videos to showcase their mod in action. Here's what they had to say:

We realize it's been quite a while since our last public news release. In order to be able to spend more time working on the mod, we've been neglecting much of our Public Relations duties (I'll take the heat for this). So, in order to try and make up for our overall lack of community involvement lately (mostly by me), we have a couple of treats to present to you.First, we have a Remnant Weapons video showing of nine of their thirty weapons. There's two versions of the same video; HighRes (58.4 MB) and LowRes (23.7 MB).

Second, we have three seperate videos of our working Whistling Trip Flare weapon used by the Reaver's Outrider (Sniper) class. It's more of a deployable warning device so that nobody can sneak up behind the sniper while he's looking through his scope.

And last, but not least, we have a new Modder's Journal entry discussing the state of the Apocalypse.

Spawndemon, I think you messed up something and it all went wrong...after "Second,"...on the mainpage...everything, including the other threads is all in Bold.

UPDATE: I watched the 1st video, the animations are awesome, your mod team really has some amazing talent. I only didn't like how he spins the shotgun on his finger...seems a little unrealistic, since the gun is a little too big for that.

I also, watched the flare video, awesome job. The sound is great.

wow..the animation, sound, and model/skin for that flare trip is AWESOME. looks something that was made using the source engine rather than the clunky bf2 one. hats off dudes. didnt chekc the weapon vid yet tho cause filecloud always makes u wait in a line if ur not a memeber, boo

Wow, great job team. This MOD looks like a lot of friggin fun, I cant wait to get to using those barbaric weapons. Keep up the good work, I am impressed.

P.S. Filecloud kicks ass, I rarely wait more than a few minutes.

It all looks so amazing. . . the models, skins, aniamtions and ideas!. . . jsut quality!
My favourite mod by far, simply because these guys are doing stuff people haven't thought of.
Only wish they could release something smaller than they had planned, and then patch ith with new content etc.
It all just looks so fun lol

Not only are the new models great but the custom animations? Jesus you've done better than EA. I'm starting to understand more about this mod, I didn't really get it before but now I do, and it looks brilliant!!

The one thing I didn't understand was the clipboard, lol it doesn't really make any sense!

Anyway great mod, can't wait till its release, it might just top TCs like EoD or PoE

Each kit has a theme, and the Postman (Spec Ops) uses a clipboard as a melee weapon, a package bomb as a C4-style device, a can of Anthrax as a "grenade" that does damage differently, etc...

Each kit is tailored to the class that owns it, based on things that they really use (normally modified of course), or things that can be associated with them.
