There is a new update posted today over at the Red Crucible mod website. They have reworked their website and have some new media to show. Here's what they had to say:
Hello and welcome back to another Red Crucible Mod update! You may notice that our site has changed a bit. We have decided to focus the site on Operation GROM (part 1), which will be the first Red Crucible release. There is also a new media page where you can find some interesting graphics made by Recon Raccoon.
Today we are showing renders of the Soviet PK Machine Gun and the SA-14 Gremlin SAM. Stay tuned, there’s a lot more on the way!

Nice to see a new update from these guys. Re: Red Crucible Mod Update
very nice! like the pk - skin is nice.... i guess if there was any critique to give it would be perhaps give a little discolouration on the sa-14 - its a very consistent green ATM might give it a bit of character....
good job guys! interested to see some of your tanks when you get to them!!!

THERE WERE NO SHOULDER MOUNTED SAMS IN WW2 - shoulder mounted SAMS didnt really gather momentum till the early 80's after the US got over the whole REDEYE debarcle (which one could say kicked things off back in 58/61)... pick up a book you may learn something...

Re: Red Crucible Mod Update
yes but it was never used - to be honest i had forgotten about it due to limited documents on it - besides, it is more of an unguided multi barrelled rocket launcher than a true SAM system... lol the rounds were just modified 20mm rounds for pete's sake heheheh good point though
