Our very own 21st Century Warfare has made it to the ModDB Top 10 Mods of 2005. This is pretty big accomplishment, considering the fact that this is covers all games, not only Battlefield 2.

21st Century Warfare is the largest and the best Battlefield 2 online tournament! This prestige has not gone unawarded! We couldn't of gotten this far without you guys. We'd like to thank the community for all their support in helping us achieve this award.

No disrespect but it's kinda rediculous that a minimod like that ends up in the top 10. They ended up higher than full fledged mods like Natural Selection, SourceForts, Forgotten Hope and Alien Swarm.

I agree, was a bit confused. Mods who have spent 500+ hours making a (practically) new game compared to the 100+ it can take to make a minimod. Must be a real downer for the other mods, but congrats to the 21st team!

There will always be another year. I'm sure the 2006 list will include far more of the anticipated mods we have now.

21CW is NOT a mini-mod ......

it hasn't been since its inception .....

BF1942 DC was a mini but not in BF2

What does 21CW have that is different?
Or rather, what does this "mod" do?
Looks to me just a clan type ladder organization, not a mod that has new skins, weapons, and vehicles, etc.

Funny that such a pointless Top 10 makes it into the TotalBF2 news. This must have been done in a very subjective way, because for example Forgotten Hope 2 is a "bit" further then such a small mod as 21CW has.

FH2 is NOT released 21CW is ... so how can they be further?

Like Crrrazzzy posted - FH2 Hasn't been released yet! i look forward to the release of their mod, POE and a few others. The moddb.com 'mods of 2005' listings are based on PUBLIC voting - which meant Half Life, Quake, BF2 or any other mod fan could post their votes.

21CWMod made it due to the players/fans that voted for the mod in it's current capacity - which they deemed better than the vanilla game.

2006 is goin to be a huge opertunity for BF2 mods and others to come into fruition - I personally cant wait. Bring on the mods.

What a bitter community... yet I do have to commend the larger, more complicated mods that spend many more countless hours working hard. Either way, a mod is a mod, it's all fair game for the top 10.
