Re: Eve of Destruction Mod Update 3
I think its the fact the models have been compressed or stretched in the photos. Visit the EodMod.com website and look at the pictures there. There is a difference..

Helped if they worked correctly, and you didn't have change things in the bar to view them correctly.Originally posted by (EoDDev)TrahnLeeI think its the fact the models have been compressed or stretched in the photos. Re: Eve of Destruction Mod Update 3
That green beret is WAY to bright... that should be a really dark green
Not much of one... they still don't look that great, really undetailed and just blah looking. but still better than what I can doOriginally posted by (EoDDev)TrahnLeeVisit the EodMod.com website and look at the pictures there. There is a difference..

You are mostly correct. They are looking slightly underdetailed and too blocky with few polygons.
However, on the good side this shows they can low poly model well enough and still have a very decent playable character model. That actually takes real talent.
Kudos for them, they deserve it for their attention to practicality and simplicity of design.
The down side is the BF2 IMHO should be seen with high poly/ high def player models and objects to fully enjoy its vast wealth of graphic detail and "look".
I hope that the EOD team take time in the future to review and replace these current models with more suitable ones. I still think the character "concepts" are perfect, it's just the actual player model which is a little lackluster.
Excellent work anyway. Congrats to a job well done.Comment

Re: Eve of Destruction Mod Update 3
I'm by no means trying to dog their work. I'm looking forward to this mod also. But at 1st glance, it just seems very under-detailed. Looks very similar to a BFV skin, graphic wise. It just seems there could be more detail done with this great BF2 engine. The legs seem pretty wide also :-\
Could be me though 0_oComment

Re: Eve of Destruction Mod Update 3
Ive looked at the larger pictures and your right their uniforms are very blurry and undetailed, id say whoever there skinner is needs to add more Noise to them and sharpen edges. im always here if a hand is needed but only with uniforms things like guns and stuff the unwraps are a big pain in the arse.

Re: Eve of Destruction Mod Update 3
why is it tht people say silly things like this - why should one have to be able to skin to comment on skins - not every1 who is going to play their mod will be a skinner, so hearing complaints from people who are regular players mean ALOT m8.... if i really wanted i could post an awesome skin and be an a$$ for putting it in another mods update but tht doesnt put me in any better standing to make an opinion does it?... dont badger others for giving their honest opinion... thts really weakOriginally posted by Icy-SpicyWhat's with all you people complaining about the skins?
Go make your own and post them here.
Great work EoD!
