Yeah, there goes EA/DICE listening to the whining and bitching part of the community. Aside from those who have quit BF2 because it is unplayable or still consider it an unfinished game, after this patch, some of the more experienced players will probably leave.

lol, then BF2 will be left with the noobs who thought they were being nice, and moral players by not dolphin-diving or being plane whores.

BF2 has officially been ruined by the nubby pub community. lol

If everything turns out right, this will finally complete the game and make it the greatest military online shooter created so far. Screw CSS, AA, and the others, the game will have everything.

i am a little scared still, as they say that the "AA will kick helikopter ass" but it was ok with the helos it was the jets that wer the problem with AA but it says nothing on this regard.

if jets still fly the skys with impunity and only need worry about stupid piloting or an enemy jet then this will sadden me.

we need AA that takes out the jets not just good at helos.

edit: even in single play the AA is superb with jets its only in multiplay they seem so ineffective.

LOL indeed man, get real!, you can not find another game as good as BF2 right now and everyone knows it so no one is leaving. Name one game that even comes close? you know you cant. Nothing in the near future even comes to mind. :p BF2 will live long!

That would be the best thing to happen if they quit if you ask me. I really have a problem w/ all the servers out there saying they will kick/ban any bunny hoppers and tk'ers and that is all the server is. I hope changes will make some aspects equal to new players as well as veterans.

That's the only thing that makes me keep my BF2 CD somewhere that's not in a box burried under some junk in a closet, because I know soon I'll need it for something worthwhile. :p

Overall, gotta say I give the video a slightly-above-neutral rating. The animation when you're jumping looks....retarded? When you jump I'm sure you don't swing your gun back and forth like a drunken Scotsman with a mug in his hand. The M203 fix is going to be fun, and while I like the bouncing off walls, I can't wait to hear the forums here light up a few days after the patch. "OMG <insert player name> IS USING NOOB TOOB HAX! HE HIT ME AROUND CORNERS!" That's going to be priceless. :)

Now let's give the UAV some controls and make a player fly the thing instead of it be automated. My first idea for the patch is to find a Karkand only server and be UAV patrol.

I was thinking about why make the helicopters so vulnerable to AA attacks. I figured this will force pilots to maintain stealth and more realistic tactics in order to stay alive. Such as, flying behind hills, and tree lines until ready to attack, instead of just hovering in the middle of everything and mowing down everythign in site. Helicopters really arent flying fortresses and do have to take defensive measures in order to stay alive. As a helicopter pilot I think this is cool, I will feel all sneaky flying behind tree lines and hills . It makes me think about the videos i see on the military channel, when the apache appears above the tree line it was hiding behind, ready to unload its missles...very cool stuff .

Its long away from the days of DC when helis ruled the sky, however these are 2 very different games and I think BF2 will benefit from this new AA. It will definately provide for more balanced gameplay, more skill needed for heli pilots, and more forethought before heading straight into the action (planning a flight path that will keep you covered from AA).

I will say that as an avid chopper-whore,t his will make thing s more interesting. Hmm, That UAV thing is very interesting and definately unexpected. Now we will know when we are bing watched. I wonder if it will have a little "slingshot" launcher and flying sound fx. :-P
