Battlefield 2: Armored Fury Renders

5 renders from the upcoming Armored Fury booster pack have surfaced after some folks over at <a href="http://www.nofrag.com/2006/jan/12/20037/" target="_blank">NoFrag</a> scoured EA's FTP for more images. You should all be pleased to see the long awaited A10 amongst others, take a look here:

That is the SA-341 Gazelle Helicopter. They had it in Desert Combat, its a French and UK made helo but alot of Middle Eastern countries use them as well.

Gazelle Helicopter

The primary role of Gazelle is observation and reconnaissance. It is a vital component of anti-tank helicopter operations and is also used in a wide variety of supporting roles - Air Observation Post(AOP) – to direct Artillery fire, Airborne Forward Air Controller(ABFAC) – to direct ground-attack aircraft, casualty evacuation, liaison, and command and control, and communications relay. Equipped with a Ferranti AF 532 stabilised, magnifying observation aid.

We'll probably see the MEC using that and the US with the OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter, not sure about the Chinese. Hopefully though, with these helicopters we'll be able to use Laser Guided Bombs.

It's not the same chopper as they had in Desert Combat (ie, Gazelle). It is the Eurocopter.

the vehicles are:

AS 350 Ecureuil (civilian helicopter maby by "Eurocopter", it's going to be used by the chinees, look at the side at the start of the tail)
SU-39 "Frogfoot"
A-10 "Thunderbolt II"
Q-5 (no NATO designation)
AV-8B "Harrier"

Look at the white radar on the top, it's one of the new recon choppers, and is that a little mini-gun I see on the right wing?
