There is a new update posted today over at the Operation Restore Hope mod website. They have some general news about the progress of their mod. Here's what they had to say:
In this update, we do not have any new things to show you because we are doing things a bit differently. We know in the past we have released some things that were not exactly the best quality, and I have noticed that. Thats why we have adopted a new policy, and hired a few weapons experts to insure that EVERYTHING that comes out of our mod is the best it can be.
Also, with the new engine we hope to do something we could never do with the BF1942 engine, new gametypes. We really want to bring a gametype that no other mod has brought the plate, the famous King of the Hill. If you have ever played DFBHD or Halo 2 you understand what we are talking about.
Each team has to fight for a specific peice of land and defend it for a set amount of time. The team that is able to stay inside this area for the longest wins the round. To make it harder the area will change to another random place every 100-200 seconds. With this gametype, there will almost never be campers, you will always be moving. To do this we ask that if you are a coder that is interested in this new gametype and feel like giving it a try to please contact us.
We may not have anything to show you, but can tell you all that we have a few helos in the making and we will be able to show you them in a few weeks. We are also redoing a few weapons too.

Glad to hear about their plans for the mod. Be sure to stop by their site to read the entire update and to see all the new staff they have acquired, found here.
