Why would you not use the standard BF2 folder? Mod teams cant be expected to cover all possibilities. Great job, btw, to all the Surreal team.

and why would you expect a person to do a typical install when most of the world has multiple hard drives? I still can not get the copymatchclients batch file to work, is there anywhere I can download the client side map files?

I think most of the world still use there C drive for installs. To sort out the problem you have

either

Copy the copy the batch file to the surreal folder from the levels folder. then run it

or

manually go into the bf2 levels folder and copy/paste the client.zip files from each map to there couterpart in the surreal/levels folder.

Jeez, it's a first release guys. I'm sure they'll sort out an installer for those that liek to install BF2 in irregular places in the future.

Just downlaoded it, last time I tried it got to 90%, then someone started up my microwave which fried my wireless internet...

Hehehe fun mod. God I love the Super Santa Sleigh. That things a silent killer. Oh and are the claw shooter hings on the Scorpian supposed to shoot all jagged or whatever (not where your pointing?) I wasn't sure. None the less the scorpions stiill hella strong when your facinbg it dead on. Two other guys and I were in those Milatia...light vehicles or whatever (with cannons) faced an enemy scoripon and it took all three of us out in the course of a few seconds...hehe...was cool i a way even though we lost horrible. The most annoying thing in this mod is the sound from the scorpions claws hich you can hear anywhere in the map.

Great mod guys, really fun.

After you unzip everthing, and if your game doesn't work, try moving copymapsclient.bat from the \mods\surreal\levels to \mods\surreal\.

After I moved it up one directory it worked fine. If you ran the .bat and it flashed for a millisecond then it most likely did not work.

Really fun stuff there but my PC didn't like it. It made me studder alot(not lag). Not sure why and I crashed to desktop alot. I think It's my ram. Anyhow keep up the good work!

Nice models for the cars and all, but it hogs my system hardcore. I had no problem playing at the grahixs level with vanilla bf, but this lags up when I go in a place such as a village.

Edit: Popeye posted while I was posting :P and I know the diferance between lag and stutters, and stutters would of been the more apropriate word.

We will not have a proper installer set up. I prefer the fact that the mod can be 100% removed by simply deleting the folder. I will make sure that the exe files work 100% right on next release though. lol

Perhaps anyone has a clue why I keep crashing to the desktop.
I've extracted the lot, even got the copymaps-batch to work, I can connect to the [FuN]-clan server, but when the map is loaded and I click join... I get thrown to desktop..over & over again
Getting kinda frustrated now as I really really REALLY wanne try this damn mod!!

Because it is starting up Surreal?Or You dont have Levels in the right place..

Ill be making and releasing a Surreal Stunt video very soon, I made one called "Surreal Stunts" but it wasnt much as the game was still in beta, but now with the vehicles fixed I can release a full version of the movie :)

The mod is great... i found it a bit hard to control the sledge
** You must be really noob if you cant figure out how to install this (but i know there is a lot of those noobs out there)

*** for the developpers : you could make an .exe that look in the registry to find where the game is installed then make an auto path to point in the mod folder??? or is that too complicated (just like when you install a patch,... it look in the registry... find the main program under local_machine\software\whatever and point there by default) its just an idea

anyway.... funny mod
