Surreal Episode 2 v0.1 Released

As promised in yesterday's mod update, the team behind the Surreal 2 mod have released their first public version. This release brings many new vehicles to the game that will make your jaw drop. Here's what they had to say:
Run the build exe first to extract and copy surreal to your hard drive. Then run the levels exe. Both exe will copy the files to correct place, if you have a standard install.
The levels exe will copy only the server side files of the bf2 maps to your computer. You need to copy the client.zips yourself. There is a batch file in the levels folder to do it for you. This was done simply to keep size to a minimum (8xclient.zip=600M).
There is a shortcut in the main folder which you can copy to your desktop to launch mod directly. To remove, simply delete the surreal folder. This mod does not effect your bf2 game. Comments / Bugs etc can be posted on our forum within Totalbf2.
Download Here - Surreal Episode 2 v0.1 Client
Download Here - Surreal Episode 2 v0.1 Server
A very well earned congrats goes out to the team behind the Surreal 2 mod for their excellent work. I had the opportunity to play this mod yesterday and it is loads of fun, can't wait to try it out some more. For those who are still skeptical to download this mod, I will be writing up a short review that I will post sometime in the near future. Great job once again to the team and we'll see you on the battlefield!

            Hello,

does anyone know how to start this mod? I've installed everything exactly how they told me to, but there is no .exe in my folders.

            /EDIT

Oh and big thanks to the surreal team for their efforts!

            greetings

That's because the only executable for bf2 is the bf2 executable.....

Anywho, assuming you installed bf2 into the default folders, make a new shortcut on you desktop with this address:
              "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/surreal

If you installed bf2 to a different folder, on possibly a different harddrive, then just find your bf2.exe and add the +modPath... on the end.

I just started it up and it appears to work fine, but now I'm off to actually try it out!

The General Lee makes that mod. I could drive that thing ALL day. The scorpions need to go. No one even uses them. There are alot of bugs, but altogether a solid release. The General Lee is classic. You could make a mod on just the General Lee and people would play it.

Great job guys! The Scorpion and the "SW bus" are really cool!
I have a question though, it says on filecloud that Surreal is SP enabled but I have not managed to get it working in SP mode. Had to start a local server to try the goodies out.
So, the question is; how do I make it work in SP mode?

                        Thank you

I get an error message about a .fx file shader not found when I try to run this. Oh btw, that batch file needs to be copied to its parent folder before being run and that icon file is not a shortcut...
