There is a new update posted today over at the <a href="http://www.bf-korea.com/" target="_blank">Battlefield: Korea</a> mod website. They are showing off their M1 Garand, M26 Pershing, and two ingame shots. Using GMAX ain't a problem if you can use it right, it's a tad harder than 3ds max because there's less tools and stuff but it seems to work fine for them.

after some people in other communities complained about the ingame screenshots of the garand, we've now done one with better graphic settings (and a slightly changed skin, its now a bit brighter)

if your modelling yes - if you are skinning no... i wouldnt trade anything in the world for the mapping options available to you in 3ds as opposed to crappy gmax
IMO the darker version of the garand looked better - if anything the stretching on the top of the stock was less visible previously... but that is being picky

- Eve of Destruction (Vietnam)
- US Intervention (Gulf War I)
- Ensuring Freedom (Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom)!
Every major conflict (That the U.S. has been in anyways...) of the 20th & early 21st century! This is great!
I agree with Jimbob, the darker version of the Garand looks better, and, is more realistic. The Pershing looks hawt and the BAR's sights are just sexy!Comment

You guys should try to get someone on the team with better settings though to take the shots. They look great, but they would really get the credit they deserved if they had the quality on highest.Comment
