There is a new update posted today over at the Operation Peacekeeper mod website. They are celebrating their one year anniversary today and have some great new media to showcase. Here's what they had to say:
December the 22nd 2005: Operation Peacekeeper releases it's first version for BFV. We surely were nervous, something that's understandable, as we were giving away our baby into the baptism of fire. We were not only nervous, but even frightened. Everything ok? Will the community like it? Is it actually running smoothly? But the feedback we got was awesome, something we wouldn't have thought of. Several thousand downloads, Servers from Australia to the USA. And that's something we thank you for, you, who were interested in OPK and still are. Now a year has gone past, in which we learned much, and which we will leave more motivated than ever.
But first we start with a regular little Update. Those who know the first version of OPK will propably also know the CZ999, standard pistol fo the serbian forces, and the VZ61 "Skorpion", a small submachinegun for self-defence. The skins of both have now been polished to make them ready for BF2.

The next part consits of several ingame screenshots showing a new map: "Airfield Assault" by Osis. On this map german paratroopers and ground forces attack a serbian military airfield. Only shortly after the arrival of the german airborne troops a heavy fight on the ground starts. How this fight developes can be seen in a little special soon, so stay tuned!

This mod impresses me more and more with every update! Can't wait to see the next update. To learn more about the OPK mod, visit their site here.
