    TotalBF2 Joins Forces!

It has been an amazing year for us here at TotalBF2. The staff has worked really hard to get the site to the place we are today. We would like to also thank all the members for continually visiting and posting on the site. We have truly become the premier site for all BF2 news on the web!

I am pleased to announce that today TotalBF2 has signed an agreement to be acquired by MyInternetServices.com, LLC. This acquisition will help us continue to grow and allow us to take TotalBF2 to the next level. If you are not aware of MyInternetServices.com you should check them out. Here are some of their sites:

    GetPaid2PlayBF2.com
    JumpStartBF2.com
    21stCenturyWarfare.com

    BFECOD.com
    BFERO.com
    DODsTournament.com

Ok, this is likely to become a bum deal for us users. Usually when mergers/acquisitions happen to good websites, they gradually turn into crap. Little by little, with every small "improvement"...
        Anyone remember good ole' BF42.com?
That was a great site for BF42 news, extremely user-friendly, very popular by it's users, had a unique community of friendly non-noobs.
Then it's owner, "Acutus", decided it was time to take the site to the next level. It was sold to a guy called "Jeremy" aka "Summit".
With every "improvement" they made, more users decided to leave. More mergers/acquisitions followed, until it was finally part of the "Amped" company.
I don't think a single user from the old community still goes there, they all hated the new site, even though they told us it was getting better.

Some of the diehard fans of the old BF42.com site made a new community by the way, over at www.thebattlefields.com.

I hope this site doesnt get changed too much, and the new owners dont get greedy and start making the site unusable by ads everywhere...

I completely agree, throughout discussions on whether to go through with this deal or not, I had everything you mentioned in mind. I want the best for this community. I wouldn't of went with it if I knew it would of turned into another FPSCentral Fiasco. You can rest reassured that we will remain the same way we have before, it can only get be better for you guys from this point. That's what I strive for, the community. Obviously words mean nothing, it's the action that tells all.

Sit back and enjoy the ride! :)

If i remember correctly some TBF2 staff were former FPScentral staff. The reason why Bf42.com went crap was due to summit ego and aspire the site to be the gamespy killer

I was doing the PoTD and file admining

Ok, sounds like you really thought this through.
I really like what you did with this site, it's become one of the sites i check almost every day. Good job!
But remember...if it ain't broke...don't try to fix it...

                    (Good luck with it though)

Why would anyone want to be like Gamespy?
Gamespy is actively trying to destroy the free gaming community.
Oh wait...that's what Summit did to BF42.com, so actually, Summit was succesful in his mission

Dont worry, the owners of myinternetservices(Crrrazzzy and Napolean) have been part of the DC/Bf2 community for a LONG time. They knows whats going on. The owners actually met at 21CW as players, bought 21CW, then founded my internet services. The only reason I know this is because they were both people that I played with in my division. Good things are in store for totalbf2 me thinks.

So long as this doesn't become another FPSCentral incident, I'll be ok.
