There is a new update posted today over at the <a href="http://fcs.crimsonblaze.net/" target="_blank">Future Combat Systems</a> mod website. They have some new renders to showcase today. Here's what they had to say:<blockquote>Hello everyone, this is our first update to show to the public, we have encountered many delays that have pushed back this release but finally it’s here. The FCS mod team is proud to show you the XM8 assault Carbine in its desert and jungle variant, modeled with the help of the fine people at Hicalibur3D and our very own Guedoe, and skinned by Billtcm.<p>We are still looking for many people to join our mod team, we are especially in need of coders, skinners and modelers but any other help to our team would be welcomed, if you wish to join please post an application in the mod recruitment section of our forums. Looks like a cool mod, but I just hope that the mod won't die out like some other ones

It looks ok, though the render doesn't show much detail. I wonder if they realize the (X)M8 was cancelled?

yes, we are well aware of that, but our mod isnt a realism mod , so in our mod, it hasnt been cancelled
