The guys over at <a href=http://desert-conflict.org>Desert Conflict</a> have released a update stating that they will be releasing a Capture the flag mini-mod shortly and everyone is invited to join a "pre-release party". This mini-mod only adds a new game play. There will be no new maps just the original BF2 maps for the release, but they will be modified to make CTF friendly.

Giggity giggity.

Oh man, I'm excited. Finally, a new gamemode! While the video didn't show much in terms of proving that the gameplay works (but there was some cool, unexpectedly impressive physics with that ball-flag thing that you got there), my hopes are still very high.

I hope that this'll be compatible with PRMM and AAS, although running 2 mini-mods on top of another mod doesn't seem to be the most stable thing to do.

Just a thought: Since there is physics with that flag, there's a potential strategic aspect in passing it along by shooting it with explosives (from a chopper or something) to your base, or to another flag runner, or whatever. Oooh.
