There is a new update posted today over at the First Strike mod website. They have some new renders to show off. Here's what they had to say:
Hi today we're going to have a small update just showing off a few pictures of the completed X-Wing. It just looked so awesome and great that we felt we needed to make an update about it! It was modeled by Aquila and textured by ramseus. Oh and thanks again for the people that signed up after our last week's update. We need all the help we can get. Our new site is almost done. We just have to add the content and fix up a few bugs. It will be up by this Friday's update.

I look foward to see what this mod comes out with next! Re: First Strike Mod Update
Meh, I'm retarded with 3d programs and don't know how to render properly (no anisotropic filtering or anything like that) so that's why the texture went all blurry like that. In addition with that those 2 pictures are recompressed into JPG format (originally in PNG) and you can tell by looking at the First Strike logo that they lost a ton of quality. The PNG images are on our forums, though, if you want to see them. And others brought up the nose looking short, and Aquila said that he used different blueprints and images and he felt it looked best like that. In any case, getting to shoot that puppy down will be fuun.
