Battlefield: Apocalypse Mini-Mod Released

The team from the Battlefield: Apocalypse mod have released a new mini-mod today. This mini-mod adds new custom skins to the game as well as a blood effect. Here's what they had to say:
For a while now, our team had been working on getting some new custom soldiers in game, and from the start, we chose to use our skeleton static object as the soldier model for our testing purposes. No sooner did we finish this task, that a tutorial on how to get custom soldiers in game materialized. Thanks, but a little late. We had also been working on a blood patch at the time as well. Custom soldiers and blood will both make an appearance in Battlefield: Apocalypse, so this little project will ultimately impact our total conversion directly. The soldiers aren't perfect and are pretty low res, and the blood is only our first attempt. Our blood technique will be refined moving forward and higher res soldier models will be used before both going into BF:A.
Download Here!

Looking for something new to try, be sure to check out this mini-mod. I don't see the point of this minimod tbh but the model looks nice though.

It's not meant to make sense, guys. We were working on two things at once. Custom player models, skinnedmeshes, etc. and blood.

We cramed them both together and thought that is was neat enough to release to the waiting public.

BF:Apocalypse won't have skeleton soldier models in it's release, but we will be getting custom soldiers in game, since now it's easy for us to do. Apocalypse will have blood though, but even that will be more refined then the blood in this version.

Basically it is for fun you guys. Everything always doesn't have to have a reason...care to try it out, give it a download. If you don't want to play it, don't download it...simple as that!

It also allows any 'struggling' modders an example of how the fine BF:Apocalypse team managed to get completely custom player models ingame. They'd be the first mod to do so, wouldn't they?
