i work hard every day. i would just like more feedback from the developers. in my line of work, construction, the "haves" are always telling the "have-not's" what to do and they expect way more for their money. what would be so hard as to give a little more to people without them asking for it. i am sure the developers spend less energy "developing" than i do everday. anyways, who put you in charge of the forums

right, so far i've only had a chance to play Nan Hai and Straight of Hormuz, and i'm incredibly impressed with both.

Nan Hai i've been looking forward to since i saw the first screenshots on the Mapping section of the forums, and its amazing. The best part is, believe it or not, the loading time. It is so short, and I like it. With maps getting bigger and longer and whatnot, its nice to have a map loaded quickly, especially on my piece of crap pc.
The idea is superb and is something i've been waiting for for ages, and although i've not played online in a battle on this map yet, i can see its potential. fighting on the carriers is one of the bonus parts of BF2, and this should be wicked for this.
My only miffs are a, shall we say, strange translation (the creator should have asked someone to do it or iron out the problems in the english translation - i can see what it means, but its not right) and also the carriers seem slightly strange and cluttered, but it makes sense when you chuck out realistic values and chuck in all out battle filled with Air Units. I love the fact that there is plenty of AA and no jets. And i love the sinking carrier, thats really cool.

Straight Of Hormuz is a superb map also. The simplicity of the design is excellent, its just a head on fight, a meat grinder. The lack of vehicles and the thin walking area promotes head on fighting and not sneaking around, plus the lack of arty/uav/scan is good and puts less emphasis on the Commander as also the objective is straightfoward - attack! Also the lack of assets helps stop Spec Ops people sneaking around and destroying them.
My only annoyance is the seemingly random AA guns... like wtf, there aren't any air units on the map as far as i can tell, maybe i'm wrong. i like the RPK on that little bar of metal . I also like the dock, with the boat (maybe it would be nice to be able to go on it) and all the little things like that.

So if, from just playing 2 of the maps, i'm incredibly impressed - i can't wait to try the rest.

If I made a map and it could be ranked, I would make a special secrect false wall that leads to a kick ass sniper spot or something that I would only tell my friends :p

Re: DICE Reviews TotalBF2 Map Pack 2

Its a shame that virtually the WHOLE BF2 community ONLY plays ranked servers.
Thats why DICE EA whatever should make some of these available as Ranked.
I downloaded Map pack 1 and 2 as well as Lost Village which is better than any of the maps in the current game and has day, daen and Night which is really night unlike Bf2 grey sky nights.

ALL virtually empty 24/7 , I would love to play these maps!!!!!!!!
But they are just Ghost towns,,,,,

                      What a waste....

That is so awesome that you got MAP PACK 2 reviewed by DICE. That is so great in its self and i hope further consideration is coming from these reviews in the near future.
