BF1918/2 Airshow Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the Battlefield 1918/2 mod website. Here's what they had to say:
It's been a while since our last update, and because of that, today’s update is a tad bigger than usual. What you're looking at on these 12 fresh screenshots are a bunch of new and updated airplanes from our latest beta, which carries designation number C87. To be more specific, you're looking at a new skin variant of the already well known German Fokker DR-I, as well as the newly implemented Halberstadt in several skin colours. On the British side, we have a newly implemented Sopwith Camel skin and the newly implemented Airco D.H.2. As you can see, all screenshots were taken on FuShee Pass.
Development on BF1918/2 is progressing steadily and surely. We're shooting for an internal beta release before the end of this week, and if that one goes without much problems, we can see another release to the public happen sooner than you might think. Stay tuned!

To see the entire update and all 12 screenshots, head on over here.

Just a small advice, work more in the normal mapping of your BF2 vehicles. It's a pain that with the great textures your mod always had and has you don't take real advantage of the posibilities of the normal mapping technology in this engine.

                        Re: BF1918/2 Airshow Mod Update

First of all: no one of the pics shows the red baron . His favorit plane was the Albatross and later on in the war the Fokker DRI. The "gay" texture u all refer to is the Halberstadt D4, wich was never used by Richthofen. Also theese texture is based on real historical sources.

@Lobo: I see your pain with theese pics easily, because none of this planes carry at the moment a normal map. Its just a plain texture at the moment. This is based on the fact, that theese pics were taken from a fresh version wich came directly out of the version control system (version c87, wich was build for betatesting). In the actual version (c89 wich is unbuild at the moment) the normals are made. But its nice to see that at least one guy see that little things .

with some modification to the fuselage you could probably also turn that DH-2 into an F.E.2b (a similar two-seater model with the gunner in the front). It wasn't a particularly effective airplane compared to the DH-2 in real life, but there's nothing like having two-person vehicles in BF2
