There is a huge update posted today over at the Forgotten Hope mod website. Take a look at this very exciting update:
Hello, and welcome to another Forgotten Hope news update. The developers of Forgotten Hope are extremely happy to announce that Friday October 28, is the release date for Forgotten Hope 0.7 for Bf1942. If the impulse takes us we may make a small update in the future, or not, and of course we are still preparing another Fan Map Pack, but 0.7 is the last planned release for BF1942.
OK, enough chatter...on the stuff. You may have thought we were all done with showing you new vehicles, but there is at least one more, the Type 87e. This was a civilian KDF wagen body placed on a kubelwagen chassis. Many were tropicalized and sent to Africa. The one in our render shows the desert "balloon" tires, and is marked as belonging to a propoganda company. PK units were combination war correspondent and psy-ops units, that reported on the the war as well as conducting propoganda operations on the enemy and their own troops. The Type 87e was modeled and skinned by Rad. Next, we have a new wallpaper, prepared by Lobo and Rad based on some of Rad's models. They have obviously both been working too hard and are in need of a short rest. You can get some other sizes in the media section.

Before we finish for today, we want to show you a few new statics from Forgotten Hope 2, that will be populating miltary installions on many maps. These include camouflaged German pup-tents, tank barriers, wood and steel quonset huts, and an observation tower. The tower was originally modeled by Mange, the tank barriers were modeled by Lobo, and the huts and tents were modeled by Rad. All were skinned or adapted and re-skinned by Rad.

That is just the very beginning of this massive update! Re: Forgotten Hope Mod Update
Alright, first off....I cannot find the right word to express myself....I am seriously stunned by their work, Thank You, FH team.
Now, the first thing I noticed on their site is a picture of a German soldier with an MP40....:guns: when usually, that kind of a picture has some American dude with a Thompson SMG...so that impressed me a lot.
Second, I was very happy about the next Friday's FH 0.7 release....I don't think I'm gonna have to do anything over the next weekend for school, so I'm gonna play my ass off.
Then came the FH2 stuff and it is simply amazing... I love the tents, I love the towers, the huts, the tank barriers....especially the tower, now it actually looks like a real tower to me. :)
This whole update just made my day. :yay: Thank you very much FH team.
O and, that BUDDIES picture is so cool, that it's my wallpaper now.You gotta love the little Teddy Bear, especially when they put it on a tank once, lol.
I think I covered everything.
Forgotten Hope Team is making other mods look bad...Period :thatsbad:Comment

Re: Forgotten Hope Mod Update
.7 FH looks actually on par graphically with bf2 vanilla, and god knows it kicks its ass gameplay wise. i cannot express enough gratitude to the mod team, for keeping this alive despite almost no thanks or compensation, for continuing to develop one of the most elaborate, accurate, minutely detailed, and most importantly fun mod for any game in history. even tho we have fh2 to look foward to, i cant but feel a little sad at the end of the bf42 era of things. so many good memories...oh well, .7 will be a nice closure to it all. at least theres a reason to load bf2 again.Comment
