The team from the US Intervention mod have updated their site today. Here's what they had to say:
Sunday once again, time for an update. Today we have the Chinese enhanced Mig-21, called the Chengdu Jianjiji 7, or just the J-7. The Mig-21 was a very reliable fighter, but it was outdated. The J-7 has more advanced avionics, targeting systems, and wider wing surface for higher climb ratios along with a small angle decrease at the tip, allowing it to go really slow without sacrificing its Mach 2.0 capabilities. Modelled by Petemonster and skinned by Wolfi.

To view the rest of the images from the update, head on over to their site.
