i agree with you on the recycling of buildings.

im still thinking about it but im not shure.

but some of the mods look AWESOME. like that one made by the starwars coders.

i just started this because of people saying " im poor~~ why do you want to make me pay for something TOTALY different for the old game?! "

    its because its DIFFERENT.
and they might lower the prices. i hope

About the recycling of the buildings. I just hope that they do it in such a way that they will not be extremely familiar. The last thing I want to see is a rehashed Karkand. I can already see it. Guys using Crossbows to get to the highest buildings and then start sniping everyone left and right. You will be called a Tower Noob  .

The building look like they might be habitable. Meaning that you can enter and what not. This expansion looks like a CS:S combined with BF:2. Looks interesting.

Anyone know the release date yet? - Yes I am lazy and don't wanna search for it. But at least I am honest

EDIT: Ok I got unlazy. So its still set for November 15th?

All in all - we all love video games - and we all love killin each other. I hope to kill you all on the battlefiels
Only reason I got 1942 WAS for DC because a friend of mine introduced me to it. Mods do indeed enhance the game and make it a more enjoyable experience. Completely agree with what you've said Troy.

I still am opposed to my personal purchasing of the expansion however. I don't feel compelled to pay $30 for lack-luster performance of BF2 support and I stand by that. Buy it if you wish, and I'll see you in the mods when you play'em.

I really do not think the screenshots are that bad...what were you looking for? They are giving you what it will look like "generally" throughout, so anything special can be still be changed without some tool coming on and asking "where is that really special once off cant repeat it section of the game EA?"...LOL

The screen shots on the front of this site are not bad. However, someone posted some screenshots to some Australia site and they looked God awful. Looked like someone was playing the beta and released graphics on a Nvidia TNT 32mb v-card :|: <--- my first graphics card about 4 years ago.

I've defended EA way too much to this point. What I want to know from you is, if EA wants to charge us for an expansion pack for a game that they still haven't fixed cmpletely yet (see server browser), how is this not them just making a money grab? This expansion is going to include things that were supposed to be part of the original game. They should make it a free download as a way to thank those of us who have stuck with them so far. We've been a blindly loyal community up to this point. We've overlooked substantial flaws and the inability to sort and filter servers from within the game. EA should do the right thing and give us this first expansion for free. For me, it's not a financial issue. I can definitely afford to get it. But I feel like EA has been taking a bit too much advantage of the community and that p!sses me off. OK, that and lame-ass jet skis and quads are starting to make this look more like the X-Games than BF2.

I'm not sure what everyone is talking about when they say that things in the expansion were "supposed" to be in the game already. Did EA send you an e-mail full of promises?? Just because some of the groundwork was already layed out for the expansion doesn't mean anything.

At least it's not another whole $50 game,
like some OTHER devs make: 'Battlefield 2: Earned in Blood'

I am gonna buy it, cause i love BF2, and I didnt think that BF2 would be all that great from the screenies when it was announced but now its the only game besides Day of Defeat:source that i play, so you cant judge a game/expansion pack by the screen shots

Many people say (quite rightly) that BF2 still has bugs. For EA to fix these current bugs without embarassing themselves with patch after patch etc, it would make sense for them to patch BF2 using the BF2:SF expansion.

I'm not saying this is what they WILL do, but I very much suspect this will be the case. It wouldn't make sense for EA to release an expansion for a game that isn't 100% bug free.

                                My two pennies.
