And the game after you TK with artilery, spend an entire game camping a vehicle because thats more important than actually playing the game.
Way to make this game popular.

On a side note, this patch worked well for me and I dig the improvements.
Shame most pubs are full of people like above.

I got Sergeant Major within 2 minutes of the patch being installed. Within 3 minutes I'd gained every available unlock. 5 minutes later I noticed I was Sergeant Major of the Corps. Bonus! I thought, cos I'd worked so hard as a grunt, a teamleader & a Commander to get the 60,000 points or so I'd earned already. I was dizzy...now I see that I only have 190,000 points to go to my next promotion :) .No problem I thought...then I realised my artillery doesn't gimme any team points or kill points any more.

Sure, I have all the unlocks. But I have to scroll to them every single game or I end up with the basic assault rifle like everyone else. It's a minor thing I know. But it does grate a bit doesn't it? Thinking postively though...at least I have a good chance of getting the Commander role..Groan

COMMANDER "Ok men get into squads please"
SINGLEPLAYER GRUNT "No Sir".
COMMANDER "Why not?"

COMMANDER "Well I carn warn u & resupply u & give u uav on request. I can also tell u where the enemy is by scanning the map. Artillery is also available for your use if u need it. How's that sound?"

COMMANDER "Ok it's not, but u can have my sister."

COMMANDER "NO WAY MAN!!"

SQUAD LEADER "No way man!"
COMMANDER "If u do that u get points."
SQUAD LEADER "Ok I'll do it. But I kept getting killed & had to hike all the way back to the flag before getting killed again!"
COMMANDER "U got to get in close & let your squad spawn on u. Try to hide so the enemy don't see u. Then the flag will be taken."
SQUAD LEADER "Ok, I tried that. But my squad members were the other side of the map. Anyway what's it worth to me if they take that flag?"
COMMANDER "Nothing, or very little really. But maybe u might get best squad leader if we win".
SQUAD LEADER "No way man! I'm going back to being a singleplayer! There's more points in it"
COMMANDER "Damn it he's gone...Oh look I have another squad. He's near a flag & he's requesting supplies too :). It could be my lucky day as Commander.
SQUAD LEADER "Thanks for the supplies Commander."
COMMANDER "No problem. Can u hit that flag now?"
SQUAD LEADER "No way man! I'm a sniper...I don't do flags. Besides I've only 14 more hours to go to get my sniper badge."
COMMANDER "OK, do me this one small favour then...Hold this airstrike on your head while I go post this bulls*** on Total Baffleyield!!!"
SQUAD LEADER "Requesting supply drop."
This support is not available as there is no Commander on your team!!!

Bud, you should get a medal for that post. That was my night lastnight in a nutshell. I just couldn't play tonight.

Well, i played few game after patch ... all went ok .... but

after 3 hours, i went back home to play some games more, but now, after log in,when i try to enter to servers it says CD KEY NOT VALID !!

no way to have an answer from EA ...
i got ORIGINAL cd !

If you just open the 1,03patch installer and select language and nothing more, there will be created temporary files in C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Temp\{6FB7DD87-BA19-47D2-BFF9-3C64322C6D3B}\{F317E784-F31C-4F26-A610-2D7BD89FEC5F} (or something like that). copy the file "BF2CDKeyCheck.exe" from the temp files and into you bf2 dir. then run it, and your good to go!

Since the patch ive got about 500 points and gone up 3 ranks i understand that the new system has lowered ( dont really agree but anyway ) my next rank progress bar is empty and wont fill so I dont know if there still going up or have been fixed still. this might of been mentioned earlier but i dont want to go thought all 26 pages so any thoughts or answers would be nice.

i like the new patch so far, haven't crashed once, lag seems a bit less,

only thing i don't like is they didn't really beef up the airplane missiles, they still so easy to dodge... were as the ground turrets seem to hit alot more.

vehicle fix's are nice, i like being able to drive up roads that have more than a 10degree incline lol, and not gettin tk's for barley hitting the buggy an other vehicles is nice as well

rank system....well umm its different...nice having more wpns available i guess for those who don't get to play awhole lot, but i think the gaps between the ranks should be a bit further apart

all in all though, i think it was a decent patch, resolved quite a few issues, not them all, but quite a few

Yah the missles seem to be a little better but not much improvement, the same goes for the carrier anti-air missles. No matter how many you fire and have it locked on the majority seem to fly everywhere.
I applaud them on fixing the slight bump into a person would kill them. The problem I have always had is when driving up to an enemy flag in car real fast and jumping out of the car as i come up to the flag or crash into a wall to stop at the flag, I would get out and be killed cause the car would bounce back a little and kill me or in a turn it cuts me off. I jump out cause I don't want to be a sitting target, nothing too big but just might need a little fix later on.
Ranking system, well I am ok on that I mean it kind of gave every crappy player an upgrade too soon. The ranked servers are meant for competition and for the good players to move up to, but im the kind of person who wants EA to filter servers for good players to be allowed into and keep the people who have high amounts of Teamkills, bad K ratio and some other things out of the server. But that wouldn't be a good business model, unless they charged for it. That's what I like about clans and league play, it's free.
As always though my game continues to run superb as it has been since I brought it out of the box onto my mid-gaming machine.

Ok having tested this new patch all i can say is wtf have ea and dice done, yesterday while playing bf2 it crashed to my desktop at least 10 times, now before it might have happened once a week if even also while i was accessing the in game menus the graphics got all messed up and i had to quit game and start again, the graphics were only messed up in the game not windows. Seems to me the memory leak could be back with a vengence.

ea and dice sort this f'ing game out once and for all.

What is it with all these problems everyones having, I have 512 mb of RAM an ATI Radeon 9550 with 256 mb of VRAM (Which by the way isn't that good)
abd 3.1 ghz and BF2 has always run exellent on my computer, maybe it's the download you guys got, I got it from xfire GO XFIRE

It's plainly EA's fault you're having problems.
