Does any one get a prefix box at the top of their log in details ??? if so hat do you need to put in it or have i installed the patch wrong

It's to add a clan tag in front of your name if you require one.

I am having a small problem. After I installed the patch everything was working fine. Now my stats are not processing after I play. I have awards ,my time and my points that are not being credited to me. I asked and others are having the same problem. I have played on several different servers and to no avail. Does anyone have some information that would help????

I gotta say that I'm very happy with the patch. No crashes, unless I forget to turn up my CPU fan. :)

One thing though, the favourites. When I use "Connect to IP", play for a while on that server, it still doesnt appear in the favourites menu. It only seems that servers that you select from the list are added to that list. Is there some way to manually add an ip:port to the favourites list?

Well I think the new patch is good! Not great but good. In my opinion it is good that they took down the requirements for medals but didn't they take them down too far? I now already have 3 veteran kit badges. But it makes the game more interesting to me! I am now anxious to get more veteran badges or even expert ones. playing 1000 hours for a gold badge was just stupid, or playing 7000 hours for a medal???
I hope they'll add more ranks, coz it would be unfair to those who already have had 150000 points, they would stuck on 2nd Lieutenant??

Only problems I have are:

game is veeeeeeeeeeery laggy at the beginning of the round (2MB connection and 4 GHz CPU, 1.5 GB RAM, 256 MB graphics card)

and I don't get the First Sergeant rank coz it says I don't have every basic badge. I looked on stats retriever, I have every basic badge except the pistol, where I have the veteran and the expert. I had already 50 Global pistol kills when I finally got the 7 kills in one round. it gave me the basic one over and over again, but never added it to my stats! Does anybody have an idea who i could get rid of this problem, as there are two ranks and 1 medal I wouldn't be able to get!


1 last thing, this dazza2005's post are f***ing hillarious, it's unbelievable how stupid a single guy can be! Man, read the thread!!!

i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on installing these onto my linux unranked server, since its my 1st time installing them dont want to end up messing the server up and reinstalling everything again.

cd into the directory where you copied the file to:
cd /some/dir/

unzip the archive:
unzip bf2-linuxded-1.1.2551.0-installer.zip

make it executable:
chmod +x bf2-linuxded-1.1.2551.0-installer.sh

run the installer:
./bf2-linuxded-1.1.2551.0-installer.sh

when asked where you want to install it, enter your desired directory.
The installer install the server into a subdir named "bf2"

done

to start the server run ./start
(or screen ./start to keep the proces running after you log out)
alt + a + d to exit

easier then it may sound :)

****!!! I got promoted 4 times, and with those 4 unlocks I only have one left to get. :)
So far so good with the patch, no dramas.

Well just had a good round and earned myself:

2 Good Conduct medals (...oddly back to back)
1 Veteran Medic Badge
1 Veteran First Aid Badge
1 Expert Medic Badge

It's nice to be receiving badges and stuff again, make it more fun!

what do you mean when you say you gained rank and badges quicker?

The point and time requirements for the ranks, medals, badges and ribbons changed! So you get them a lot quicker than before

patch works fine no probs in game but the ranking system is a load of bollocks, wtf now everybody has a high rank before you had to work for the ranks and few had the high ones and that made u want it now ffs its easy.

I agree. Ranks shouldn't be so easy to get.
