No it's not right, You need to get 1500 GP's for Lance Corpral then 10500 for Corpral not one kill for a rank..

Check your global score & what rank you should be then you'll know if it's right or not.

Most of you idiots in here b!tching about the rank changes are absofrigginlutely clueless. Upon scoring your first point after getting the patch, you will rank up based on your current global score according to the NEW POINT STRUCTURE. How f'ing hard is that to understand? The only reason that you get so many complaints about the patch in these kinds of threads is that most of the people who got the patch are having no trouble at all and are in the game playing it. Mostly the problems will hit tweakers who screwed with their game files in the first place or folks who's rig isn't up to snuff. If you're having a real problem with the game, what are you doing in here p!ssing and moaning about it? Get over to EA's support site and complain to someone who gives a turd about your misfortune...

The rank scores have been divided by 5 or 6 I think and you get all the unlocks that you should for the new rank you got.

The new patch is ****in' awesome! Stop b!tchin about it!!!

Bah .... Wake Island rulz, but they made stinger sites phuckin ridiculous now. THE MISSLES DONT EVER MISS!! Flying in choppers now is deadlier then ever....

Aside from that the patch is a good update, but they still didnt make the guns on tha FAT HOGS any better. Which means Blackhawks still own....... and the fat Mec and China hogs are just flying deathtraps now.

Although i do admit killing my first 3 people in a server and ranking up 3 times to 1st Sergeant was pretty funny. I know have almost all the unlocks cept 1.

Whaaaaa! It’s not fair. I have worked so long for my stats....****'n A please get a life. Most of the high scorers are usually POS BH capping bitches, tank campers and hackers. Now you ****ers have to jump out of the BH to cap faster, have fun, I know I will...

I agree with Animal...it's not that difficult of a concept to understand:

For your stats to get up to par in the ranking system, all that is required is a flag capture or a kill. It doesn't mean that "one" kill or "one" capture boosts you up in rank, it just enables the ranking system to verify your new score. It's like "flagging" your score to what it is supposed to be. I don't know, there are some people that will never understand simple concepts!

I haven't tried the patch out yet, I will in a little while.

If some of you are having so many problems, try uninstalling (complete removal), and ONLY installing the 1.03 patch after the game itself. All previous patches should be included in 1.03.

Wake Island 2007 is a disgrace to the other BF2 maps out there in quality, it's one of the ugliest maps I've set my eyes on.
