Hey, I downloaded it, it'ssat on my desktop, I double click...jack happens.

is it possible that you needed to install clean....patch 1.02 and then 1.03?
i sure hope this patch isn't a complete ****up.

I know it sucks for those of you who have worked hard to get your ranks, but from a guy who works 40 hrs a week and has a wife and kid at home, it's nice to be able to get another unlock. At the rate I was going, it would have taken forever to unlock the weapons. Sure the initial jump will seem lame, but it will still take time to get to the next levels. It just made it easier for someone starting out in the game to advance.

Cold- Yeah I linked to a blank page. Tried it twice and didn't work either time. Also the first time I tried to click join game after verifying I dropped to desktop. Tried it again and it has worked just fine.

Most people I know downloaded it from FileFront with no line...Maybe they just free'd them up...

with rank is an understatment. i killed 3 people and after each kill i got a rank. so if your around 30000-40000 points expect to get at least 3 unlocks.
im playing on 1.03 servers and nothing just crash once it loads. only way i can play is if i basically change a bunch of sound settings then it plays while jumping all over the place.
EA still has LOTS of WORK

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but I'm having problems with the browser still...

I update, it updates with about 150 servers now. So I change it to 16 player maps only. I hit update, and it goes blank. So I check 32 player maps and update, and it still is blank. No servers show up. So I go back to 16, 32, and 64 and it still ends up with no servers shown.

Anyone else getting that problem?

Other then that, I jumped like 3 ranks in 5 minutes, just hope it would update in BFHQ and see if I can get a gun unlock.

Besides that one possible bug, everything looks fine to me.

did you get unlocks with all those promotions?

Yes I did. I now have all but two weapons unlocked. Strange thing though, when my promotions finally showed up when logging into the game, I would select a weapon unlock and the game would immediatly crash to desktop. Did that three times. Bug????? But I got all three unlocks and game worked fine after that.

The requirements for ranks has been drastically dropped. Chances are you will go up at least 1 rank when you kill someone, if not more ;P

i have just over 18000 points.

I went to a EA DE server (no US EA servers are updated yet) and got promoted to Sgt on first kill. Then got promoted to Gun. Sgt. on 2nd kill.

So yea, the requirements are now nothing basically.
