The skins are too blurry, and why did they draw the shovel on the tank instead of making it an object?...makes it look cheap

I really don't want to talk ****, but yes, it's very blurry and needs a lot of work. BF1942 tanks look better. Just my comment, nothing more, nothing less.Comment

that panzer picture looked really photoshopped to me, like the tank just stuck on gulf of oman, but then i checked the main site and the other screens and realised it's not photoshopped, it just looks crap. sorry, but it does. the tank treads look wrong, too cartoonish, the whole overall effect is just bad, needs more polygons, a better skin and the lightmapping looks really bad to me.
just my opinion though, i appreciate how much work goes into a mod and these may be early shots so don't take my opinions to heart guys.Comment

Well even in BF1942 XWWII avoided putting highly detailed models in-game. They never had the best model/skins per se, but it was a great mod when it came to GAMEPLAY. You're all spoiled by eye candy. I'll definitely check out XWWII when its released. Seeing as how I dont have an uber system I'm aniticipating it will run smoother than FH2. fps > eye candyComment

As others have said, the tank looks low detailed in mesh and especially texture. Looks 1942 quality at best.
Also, bad idea, going head to head with FH2 in Africa. I have a feeling XWW2 is going to be the italians to the FH2 Aussies

yeah IMO xww2 has always felt a little second rate compared to FH even in gameplay. I use to support it when it was called soldier 9 realism or something, and i noticed that the developers were always bringing out updates (so often it seemed to be every week) with new content but they wouldn't fix the bugs and problems. Though that may not be the case with it's latest form.

did any1 else get a sense of deja vu when they said they were doing north africa - come on guys u cant really be serious... and i can see what wolf is going on about - we are now past the days when 2d textures can represent full 3 dimensional objects - u cant place a shovel image on top and think we're gonna like it - might as well scratch them. planes look nice. basically, if u are going to mimick fh2's release might i suggest u come up with some REALLY original gameplay modes... quite frankly that would be the only thing that would make me download this mod... might as well have done the japanese invasion of manchuria - same workload different conflict....

i think people just had way to many expectations of this mod being a contester to FH2.. but it's clearly in a whole other class quality wise.. and IMHO it is a bad choise to do the same campaign as FH2, as people are gonna compare them even more.
and im affraid FH2 is gonna come out on top here guys..
I know the devs team are not in competition, but people who are gonna play the mods see it like that and wants it like that.. it has always been like that and it wont change..Comment
