The official <a href="http://www.battlefield2.com">Battlefield 2</a> brings us some good news today regarding the ranked servers. They've notified their partners to monitor their ranked servers for users that violate EA's Ranked Server policy. That means no more Pistol/Knife only servers.<br><blockquote>Groups found to be encouraging this behavior on ranked servers that they have leased risk having their servers de-listed and potentially being prohibited from leasing a Ranked server from any of our partners. Any players found on servers that have institutionalized exploitation of the game system will have their accrued stats reviewed and potentially wiped. Rardon my ignorance, but what is the problem with having games only using those weapons. I've played other similar games with just pistols and it was great fun. I cant see a problem as long as people arn't using cheats. cant be any fairer than all having the same weapon.

the issue is that ranked servers are supposed to be a standard vannilla (this way if u are playing ranked in japan u are playing the same game as joe sixpack in north america with no advantages or disadvantages)... if they want that game type they need an unranked one.Comment
