As far as I know, the current BF2 map editor does not support AI/bot paths.

Problem with doing Single player is that EA has not released the AI tools with the BF2 Editor yet so we mappers cannot make single player versions quite yet.

Am I right in thinking that unofficial maps will be supported in the next patch, so you may have them on a ranked server?

That would be nice...having community-made maps on ranked servers. I do hope that some maps make it...but a pre-list of what maps need what settings for your video set-up . It is my understanding that some maps don't run well unless you have it on low or medium...some even...gulp..high . If the bugs can be taken out so that ranked servers can use em would be awesome.
Oh well..we can always ...hope...

We have a server running the pack right now.
The IP is 63.246.166.162:16567.

I try to connect to that IP and it says failed to connect check your network settings and try again.

They can't just slap some community made maps on ranked servers, They should be extensively tested for balance, quality and stability. From all the custom maps I've seen sofar I haven't seen one that was quality wise on par with the stock maps. It will take a while to see those.

EA is working on a single player editor thats all i know
