Stat Wiped Players and Delisted Servers from September

The effort against cheaters and padders goes on. We continue to investigate every reported case of cheating or padding in Battlefield games, then wiping the person's stats if appropriate. If you believe someone is cheating and padding, please visit this section of the EA Customer Support site for information on how to report them.

September saw a huge effort from the EA Customer Support team that resulted in over 700 Battlefield padders and cheaters having their stats wiped right down to zero. The servers they play on were also a focus for our anti-padding efforts. The team delisted 30 padding servers across both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142.

In addition to this extensive manual effort we also continue to work on new methods to discourage stat padding. This will be combined with continuing other anti-cheating efforts as we believe everyone deserves the best playing experience possible in Battlefield.

dont get me wrong, cheaters need to be dealt with.
as for stats i only care about my own and those i play with who i know do not cheat if someone wants to spend their whole time throwing stoopid grenades so someone can get extra resupply points i really dont care

what about makeing some new mods for 2142 that will run on stat servers ie seperate stats for knife only servers or pistol only !!what about some new maps or server settings like no armour ..... bf2 had it

all im saying is.... killing servers and players stats will only quicken the demise of a great game put some of that time and effort into something creative for the game and it will keep players around and get a few new ones as well

I personaly would prefer if more time was spent on finishing and releasing the next patch.

anyway i'd like a k&P option on unranked... you could equip anything you like, but bullets do 0 damage.

I reckon the patch should include a no beacon option. I F****n hate beacons!!!

Nothing sucks more than a squad with some squeaky voiced 12 year old "Put a beacon down"...

And it pisses me off when everythings going great and some toss throws a beacon down...

The silly hat upgrades are way better... accipiter + IDS.... YAY!
