Turtle Beach Ear Force AK-R8 Review

One of our very own sponsors, Turtle Beach, has had a new review posted up about their Ear Force AK-R8 headphones. Check it out:
The Ear Force headphones retail for $149.99 but deliver with amazing sound that is certain to please audiophiles looking for great quality headphones to enjoy their music a little more privately. As for gamers looking for headsets that deliver great sound and seem to provide crisp voice for clients that utilize voice for playing, the Ear Force fits that bill as well.

    Pros:
The sound is top-notch and the headset is comfortable to wear for extended periods.

    Cons:
The USB interface is a heavy little sucker and can weigh down the cord connecting the headset to the PC.

    Overall: 9.4
These are awesome headphones. High quality construction, great surround-sound capabilities, crisp audio presentation and sound vibrancy – the Ear Force AK-R8 headphones are an easy recommendation.

To learn more about these headphones you can visit here or read the rest of the review here. If you want high quality headphones then definitely check these out.

Any headphone that costs more than my life doesn't really get my attention, but good review none the less.

          Got another con for ya:

If you break the elastic headband (which will happen through normal wear and tear, trust me), they will not replace it. Instead they will offer you a "discount" on any of their other items.

Trust me, just don't. I'm out $100 from the first pair I bought (previous generation), and you can't wear them without the headband. Sure I could jerry-rig something but that's not the point. Turtle Beach FTL.

I payed 40Є for my headset 3 months ago and the microphone came off (still works with a little help from mans best friend aka tape). Dont waste 149$ on this, I bet it breaks just as easily as all electronics these days.

I honestly would rather buy a $40 Logitech headset, I've had one for almost a year now, and so far so good.
