First Strike Release Date Announced

The First Strike mod team is back today with a new update including the official release date for their mod! Check it out:

Yes, it's time for the news you've all been waiting for. The endless speculation can now come to an end as we the First Strike Mod Team can finally reveal to you the date on which you the public will be able to get a taste of the First Strike experience with Version 1.0. And yes, it will be released this month, and yes, this year.

The official release date is Friday the 28th of September.

Mark that date in your datapads people, not long to go now.

I know! this mod is going to kick so much butt! I hope Lucas Arts picks it up and gets EA to let them use their engine to make an offical SWBF game useing EAs updated facter 5 engine! it would rock so hard!

And only took them about 8 month to get it out, not like some other mods we know.
This is so awesome. Can wait for the mod to come out. :yay::yay:

Well we be the first to admit we're not as massive as some of the other mods, nor as polished. But it's not our desire to spend years of work only to discover our fanbase has dried up in the meantime. Not if we could get stuff out and actually get playing on it :)

That said, as far as full conversions go we have covered a massive amount. 99&#37; of 2142 had to be removed and replaced. Countless new methods for doing things had to be worked out and discovered. Even things like basic blaster bolts took a crazy amount of work to get going. Everything was an uphill battle but I think the fun and exciting game we've put together is well worth that effort :)
