I'm pretty sure it'll be out within two weeks time because the battlefield 2 highway tampa was just released. They've likely been working on the 2142 version a while longer than the 2 version.

The official non-beta version of Highway Tampa for BF 2 was released back on June 28th (http://planetbattlefield.gamespy.com....php?id=120678). From what my GSP is saying, EA's will be testing another beta patch before releasing the next official patch, but there's no timeline, so don't expect Tampa for 2142 to be official for a while.Comment

the stability of this patch is absolute crap. Can generally not go a full round without crashing. Immensely frustrating, and they're doing the right thing trying to get that fixed first.

That's why I don't download BETA patchs anymore. One of them ruined BF2 for me.Be glad. *ALWAYS* back up your files! In this case, back up your BF2142 directory before patching. Apply patch, and create two shortcuts- one to the new .exe file and one to the old one. Then you can click in whichever you are in the mood for.Comment

The new map is definitely interesting for 2142. Has a much different feel from the others.
The Clark tho...waaaaay overtuned. I didn't really think it needed any buff at all, but this is far too much. I hope it's adjusted before the patch goes live.Comment

Strangely enough this often seems to be the case, on the scoreboard there rarely are more than 3 people using the Clark.
And this is on Camp Gil / Cerebere landing.
I don't know why they bother to play 1.40 when they aren't using any of the new content?
The Clark will be powerful, but I am not completely sure that it will be overpowered.
Failing to kill with the first shot will still get me Vossed often, so it seems reasonable in 1 on 1 CQB.
Where it really shines is if you manage to get behind a squad paying no attention to their surroundings, then it will be a massacre.
But messing that much with a weapons stats is always a risk.Comment

if they wanted to mess with stats they should up the damage on the herzog (or whatever the shotgun attachment is on the assault kit). because as is no one is trading in a defib or rocket for it so its just another of assaults many wasted unlock.Comment

Lovin' the new clark, it's not on even ground with the voss IMO, though that might be a bad thing though since being on the same lvl as the voss mean being on a higher lvl then the other AR's.
The LMG's feel just right in this patch.
Highway tamps is awesome.
And did the SCAR get a buff? Because I seem to get more kills with it, I can't see what they did to it though, more dmg? Or +accuracy?
