  • DICE Addressing Server Woes and Other Issues in Bad Company 2

While Bad Company 2 on the PC might be kicking ass when it comes to player counts, surpassing either of the two consoles (but not surpassing the two consoles combined), a number of disconnection issues have plagued the game these past few days. On Friday, the Battlefield blog was updated to reassure players that fixes have been implemented and more will be coming.

After last nights EA server outage on PS3 and PC, EA have found the issue and put a fix in place and brought the servers back online. This means that both PS3 and PC players can return back to playing Bad Company 2.

We are aware of a number of remaining disconnect issues on PC and we have released the “R5” server to hosts yesterday to address some of the disconnects. We are continuing to work on the remaining disconnect issues to have a solution as fast as possible as well as looking into reports of other issues raised on the forums for consoles: http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/b...-company-2-ng/ and PC: http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/b...-company-2-pc/

Also of note, the concurrent player count for Bad Company 2 recently surpassed the juggernaut that is Battlefield 2. More updates will mean more news. Stay tuned next week for all of the latest on Bad Company 2.
