It is being reported that Kim Swift (Portal, Left 4 Dead) has left Valve and is moving on to Airtight Games as a new project lead. Her new role will let her "build and lead a team in the development of games aimed at a more diverse audience."
Airtight is currently working on Dark Void, which will be released on January 12 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms.
Company president Jim Deal noted that Swift's hire represents a "strategy move" as the company moves into "new and broader gaming markets."
"I've learned so much and had some amazing experiences at Valve," noted Swift in today's announcement "But when I heard I had the opportunity to work on innovative titles with my friends over at Airtight, I couldn't pass it up."
