  • Details Galore on Left 4 Dead 2

The Eurogamer Expo is the gift that just keeps on giving when it comes to Left 4 Dead 2 news. Valve's Chet Faliszek was on hand to give event goers a good deal of new information concerning the game including specifics on the rumored DLC, and campaign information.

Let's take a look at some of the highlights from the presentation.
    • The "Hard Rain" campaign will have the Survivors revisiting an area they encountered previously in the campaign only it's been flooded and altered slightly.
    • The Survivors start off only with a pistol in the Hard Rain campaign, the "catch" being that they forgot the gun bag from the previous campaign.
    • Due to Hard Rain's backtracking, those items that the Survivors use on the initial run will not be there to use again when they return to the area later in the campaign.
    • About five witches in an area around the sugar cane plant. Apparently they like sugar.
    • The uncommon common infected, the Worker, has ear muffs on and will ignore pipebombs.
    • Hard Rain incorporates both evening and night segments.
    • Spoiler: The finale involves lighting a "Burger Tank" sign up to signal for help.
    • Past survivors from L4D are "not dead" nor are they "undead."
    • Left 4 Dead authoring tools will be released at launch
    • "Apparently the DLC mentions in the demo code were erroneous and down to the fact that to do test submissions for Microsoft you have to simulate DLC, among other things."

There you have it, the best bits from Chet's talk at the Eurogamer Expo 2009. Check out the full list of bits and pieces over at, where else, Eurogamer!
