The team behind the City 17: Episode 1 modification released a good deal of new news and media today. Among the "ooh's and aaah's" over the mod's impressive visual improvements, the team is also incorporating faceAPI integration which will allow the player to use a normal webcam to track head movements!
The video above shows off the mod's attention to projected textures and lighting. Also of note is the impressive water that will send up smaller droplets which in turn create ripples of their own as they fall.
Engine optimizations, in addition to the visual improvements, are also in the works. The team also added in dynamic muzzle flash lighting, much like what is seen in Left 4 Dead. If that wasn't enough, they also released a pack of six HD wallpapers.
