Battlefield Heroes - By the Numbers

IGN has a two page spread on some of the more hidden statistics for Battlefield: Heroes. Just what percentage of players have dropped their hard earned coin for a new emote? Let's find out!
In terms of microtransactions, players who use the store have spent an average of $20 each. [Our original figure suggested that players spent $20, which was based on information provided to us by EA. EA has since indicated it should have said "buyers" instead of "players." Though EA is aware of their overall player numbers, the average amounts spent at the store, and the game's income, they don't know the percentage of players using the store.] By far, the most attractive items are the visual vanity items. 76-percent of all Battlefunds are spend on these customization items. The top five in order of preference are the Kommendant's Coat, the Special Forces Officer Cap, Maverik's Sunglasses, the Elite Camo Trousers and the Marksman's Honor. The advancement widgets that are most popular are the 30-day XP boost, the 1-day XP boost and the 30-day VP boost. While they don't by themselves offer any practical advantage, they allow players to earn hero abilities and buy better weapons.

The remaining 5-percent of Battlefunds are spent on emotes, with Flex and the Robot Dance coming in at the top of the list.

Keep in mind that not every player who plays Battlefield: Heroes purchases items from the store. Still, with 1.5 million players have enlisted in Heroes, all spread across 133 countries, if even a small fraction of them purchased items then a good chunk of change has been spent on items.
