Tripwire Interactive, creators of Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 and Killing Floor, have released a handful of new screens for their upcoming title, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad.
In addition to the lovely screens above, a few new details are now known about the game's multiplayer. Several new game modes have been added in to the multiplayer side. There will also be persistent stat tracking, player progression, unlockable weapons and items, all of which will visibly change your character's appearance over time.
As has become a staple from Tripwire, free-aim, adjustable sights, iron sight usage, and real-world ballistics will play a major role throughout the game. The game will also feature a co-op mode, a new morale system, squad commands, and a first-person cover system. Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad will focus on the Battle of Stalingrad and the surrounding operations, both German and Russian, from July 1942 to February 1943. The game allows the player to experience one of the most brutal battles in all of human history. The game consists out of two campaigns – Red Army and German. Delivering unrivaled accuracy and attention to detail, along with gritty, vicious combat in multiplayer, co-op and solo modes the game will feature everything from quick, brutal firefights to more intricate and challenging simulation modes.
