Kojima refers to the picture of, what we assumed to be Big Boss, as "The Old Man." He also hints that the game will take place over a number of different years, the mark on the "Old Man's" hat is very important, and the game is made by the same staff who did Metal Gear Solid 4.
In addition to this, there is a massive thread of speculation going on at the NeoGAF forums. Diving deeper into the flash from the teaser site and the Famitsu article, more letters have potentially been revealed. Those letters do spell out "3-6-0" and "P-S-3" assuming that what they claim to have found is actually true.
