According to sources close to CVG, Ubisoft will reveal sequels to both Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six at some point this year. Furthermore, they expect that the games may even be released before Christmas this year.
What wasn't revealed though, was if these new titles would continue the story introduced in the last games of each respective series. Given how Rainbow Six Vegas and Vegas 2 wrapped everything up, it does seem unlikely that a Vegas 3 would be in the works.
As CVG notes, the last Ghost Recon title was released nearly two years ago, so a restart for the series may be in the pipeline. The reveal of these sequels wasn't really a question of "if", but a question of "when."
