Valve Teases Downloadable Content for Left 4 Dead

Kotaku's latest video podcast finds the team chatting up Valve's Chet Faliszek while playing through Left 4 Dead.

During the in-game interview, Chet answers every question the team threw at them. While this was recorded nearly two weeks ago, Chet still manages to share some bits and pieces when it comes to both Left 4 Dead vanilla, and upcoming downloadable content for the game.

Chet actually hints at the DLC announcement after fielding a question that wonders why only two of the campaigns are included in the game's versus mode. He made it clear that the other two campaigns already included with the game will receive the "versus" treatment. Additionally, he hints that other treats are in store for this DLC.

He also reveals that the SDK is still on the way for Left 4 Dead. The announcement is being held up only by Valve's PR department. The announcement was supposed to be made prior to Christmas, but given that it's now after Christmas, the news should be announced at any moment now.

It was also stated that the upcoming DLC will see a simultaneous release for both the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
